Water Piping Repair
Water leaks and broken pipes can be a big problem for any homeowner. Because water pressure in supply pipes is generally under 50 pounds per square inch, if there is a leak, the water usually sprays out with considerable force, making the position of the leak sometimes obvious.
At Precise Plumbing & Drain Cleaning, the first thing we do involving a water piping repair is find the valve that controls the water supply to the pipe in question. Most modern home water supply pipes are made out of copper and soldered together to form a water tight fitting. In older homes threaded galvanized iron pipes are also common, but are being phased out because they tend to get clogged by mineral deposits over time, requiring regular drain cleaning.
If water is staining the ceiling or dripping, the leak may be directly above. If there are no stains or drips overhead the issue could be with the pipes in the basement or crawlspace. We will find the problem and if it is beyond repair, we can provide new water piping installation if needed.
